We, at Bench, are working to create a co-operative work space for trades like wood and metal working. We want to create a shared workshop for local craftsman entrepreneurs and give Weekend Warriors a chance to learn, and improve their skills while working on their own projects. BenchMates are creators and builders who need a workshop or workspace of any kind. Bench will provide the complete professional workshop and assistance that you require, as well as dedicated personal workspace. Bench will also give you more exposure in local markets; we hope to be able to offer retail opportunities to BenchMates.

Weekend Warriors
Hobbyists, Home Owners, and Tinkerers
Weekend Warriors are regular people that have a project, hobby, or idea that they want to create. Bench provides a space for you to work as well as any assistance you need. You can come and use Bench for an hour a day or an entire weekend. We will even be offering classes on Saturdays to teach new skills.

Q. I just have a small project to work on, can I use Bench?
A. Anyone can use Bench for any length of time. We have hourly, day, weekend and month passes (with a few other options as well.)
Q. I want to work on a project, but I am not sure that I know what I am doing. Will there be someone to help me?
A. Yes. There will be a professional in the shop all the time to assist and give advice. If you need a little more help with a particular skill, we will offer classes on the weekends.
Q. I am a professional, will you have the equipment I need?
A. Bench will be a professionally equipped wood and metal shop. We do listen to our clients. If by some chance there is a tool that we don't have, that we should, just let us know and we will get it in the shop.
Q. This seems like a really good idea, can I invest or support Bench?
A. Absolutely! We need help to make Bench a reality. We are looking for Investors at all levels. Email us about investment opportunities.

Founder
Ben is the iconic BenchMate. He founded PhilipDesignLab in 2009 and has since experienced many of the struggles that entrepreneurs like him face, such as; inadequate shop space and equipment, lack of exposure to the local market, and a lack of assistance in both design and creation.
After three years and several changes in location, Ben is creating a space for BenchMates as well as Weekend Warriors to work learn and create.
Nicholas Petersen
Founder
Nicholas is a true Weekend Warrior. While not a professional craftsman, he often finds himself taking on home projects with a DIY ambition and finding a need for appropriate workspace, tools and professional advise.
As a designer and strategist, Nicholas is looking for ways to provide resources to professionals and non-professionals looking for a creative workspace.
